Stampin' Creative Blog Hop - Gift Packaging

Welcome to this month's Stampin' Creative Blog Hop, where this month we are focusing on Gift Packaging and if you've hopped over from Caroline's post, then you'll already have some wonderful inspiration.

Today's blog hop comes to you on a day when I shall myself, be hosting an All Day Christmas Stamp-a-Stack … an event where my ladies will literally be making a stack of Christmas cards. It was their kit pack bags that sparked my inspiration for this post.

The day is very much Red, Gold and Green (which reminds me of an 80's dance track), but I wanted their kit packs to be far from these colours, so chose to use Pool Party as the base with a splash of Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler.

I'd sourced some simple Kraft bags through an online store, which are great for last minute Gift giving. I embellished them with this fun, yet elegant gift tag, using the Perfect Pines Framelits Dies and a Stamp set called 'Oh, What fun' that coordinates with a gift Tag Project Kit we have in the Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue.

I'm loving all of the project kits at the moment and this one is of no exception. 30 Gift Tags (3 each of 10 designs) for £19.  The coordinating stamp set offers an abundance of Festive Greetings and it was this stamp set that I turned to for embellishing my projects for you today.

Next I turned to the ever so gorgeous Square Pillow Box (oh I love this size) but decided to extend it, using the Kraft Corrugated card. The silver thread that wraps around the box, threads through the snowflake and is tied in a bow.

Aren't these Wooden Snowflake embellishments just divine!

To extend the Pillow box, you simply have to cut two each of your chosen colours and adhere the two together, covering the seam with a belly band of ribbon or paper. It's useful for sizing up the box for that perfect gift.

Christmas is often a time when we like to give a token gift to a teacher, friend or neighbour and this little packet was inspired by something that I saw last year at Convention in Brussels. We get to see a lot of wonderful demonstrations at these events and this was something I thought I'd share.

These Kraft bags are just great for a token gift. I've simply cut the top edge off and punched the edge with the pretty stars, before slotting a strip of card stock inside to help show up the stars a little more and folding it over. The silver thread is then threaded through two hole punches behind the tag and tied through the snowflake. So simple and cost effective.

The Clearance Rack has some wonderful embellishments for Gift Packaging at the moment, along with this week's Weekly Deals. The Tag Topper punch that I have used here has been reduced and would be a great staple tag punch to have in your collection.

On Clearance Rack there are some great ribbons and trims, at some knock down prices. Be sure to click on my links to the right of my blog, where the weekly deals are updated every Wednesday and have a look … but if you do, act quickly to avoid disappointment and don't forget to come back to hop on to see what gorgeous creations the lovely Louise will have in store for you.

Over the coming week, I will have a lot more photo's of inspiration from my event today, so be sure to pop back for more festive ideas and do leave the Blog Hop girls and I a little message if you see something you like.

Happy Hopping

  7. Oh Thank you Emma. I'm a sucker for coordination in this way. I guess I never had long hair to have the matching hair toggles to outfit and this is my way of making up for it.

Thanks Pip … my ladies did indeed love them … and their contents. I was really pleased in stumbling across this colour combination … it's very fresh I thought.

Thank you Caro. It was actually the first time I'd used the Perfect pines Framelits, but I have a class to prepare using them that I'm now looking forward to … so watch this space.

My ladies and I had a great day Thank you Lousie and the kit bags went down a treat, as did the final little gift bag, that I gave out to the wonderful ladies who kindly baked and bought some lovely goodies with them for us to eat.

The extended Pillow Box is so easy to make, but I too loved the two tone effect and the textural differences from each end.

Oh yes Lesley, I remember now, you're very much a lady who loves Blue …. Well this one's for you then and I'm pleased you like it … Thank you xx
